مؤسسة الذكاء الاصطناعي المسؤول للمستقبل تشارك في استضافة القمة العالمية للذكاء الاصطناعي في أبوظبي وتوسع قيادتها التنفيذية

Abu Dhabi, 5 November 2025 – The Responsible AI Future Foundation (RAIFF) joined partners G42, Microsoft, and Eurasia Group’s GZERO Media in co-hosting the Abu Dhabi Global AI Summit on 3-4 November, convened by the United Arab Emirates.

The two-day gathering brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, and AI practitioners to explore how nations can harness AI responsibly and inclusively. Across panels and working sessions, the Foundation reaffirmed its mission to ensure that every nation can harness the benefits of AI as empowered stewards of their own future. The Summit also marked the first public opportunity for the Responsible AI Future Foundation to outline its mission and priorities, sharing its vision for advancing responsible and inclusive AI development worldwide.

Opening the second day of the Summit, Baroness Joanna Shields, Executive Chair of the Responsible AI Future Foundation, called for a collective effort to ensure that AI benefits all nations:

“AI will define the next century of human progress, but if only a handful of countries master it, billions will be left behind. The Responsible AI Future Foundation exists to ensure every nation can shape its own AI future with safeguards from the start, positioning AI as a force enabling human and national capability, strengthening societies, and improving lives.”

To strengthen its international engagement and impact, the Foundation also announced the appointment of Dr. Mark Latonero as Chief Global Affairs Officer. He will lead the Responsible AI Future Foundation’s global strategy and partnerships with governments and multilateral institutions to advance AI responsibly worldwide.

Dr Latonero previously served at the White House as Deputy Director of the National AI Initiative and at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Center for AI Standards and Innovation and AI Safety Institute. Earlier at NIST, he co-developed the AI Risk Management Framework and contributed to AI governance and human-rights initiatives at the United Nations and the Partnership on AI.

Commenting on the appointment and the Foundation’s next chapter, Joanna Shields said:

“The Responsible AI Future Foundation was created to ensure that every country can harness AI as a force for good. As we expand our leadership team, I’m delighted to welcome Mark Latonero, whose experience at the intersection of policy, ethics, and technology will be invaluable as we advance the Foundation’s mission on the global stage.”
