Dr. Mark Latonero
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Mark Latonero is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Responsible AI Future Foundation, with a career spanning government, multilateral institutions, academia, and industry partnerships on AI and emerging technologies. As CEO, Latonero steers the Foundation’s mission to advance Responsible AI in the Global South. He joined the Foundation, established by Microsoft, G42, and MBZUAI, as Chief Global Affairs Officer and now leads the organisation from startup to delivery, working with governments and organizations across the UAE, the Middle East, and the Global South.
Dr. Mark Latonero is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Responsible AI Future Foundation, with a career spanning government, multilateral institutions, academia, and industry partnerships on AI and emerging technologies. As CEO, Latonero steers the Foundation’s mission to advance Responsible AI in the Global South. He joined the Foundation, established by Microsoft, G42, and MBZUAI, as Chief Global Affairs Officer and now leads the organisation from startup to delivery, working with governments and organizations across the UAE, the Middle East, and the Global South.
He served at the White House as Deputy Director of the National AI Initiative, driving international AI policymaking and interagency coordination. As Head of International Engagement at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s AI Safety Institute and Center for AI Standards & Innovation, he launched diplomatic initiatives, such as the Network for Advanced AI Measurement, Evaluation, and Science, and led international evaluations of frontier AI models. He co-developed the AI Risk Management Framework at the National Institute of Standards and Technology; guidance on human rights due diligence for digital technology at the United Nations; and AI governance strategy at the Partnership on AI.
He has conducted field research and facilitated multistakeholder engagement in over a dozen countries, leveraging technology in development, human rights, and humanitarian contexts.
He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Southern California specializing in the social impact of emerging technologies and was a postdoctoral scholar at the London School of Economics.

Martin Edelman

Mr. Edelman is General Counsel of G42, an artificial intelligence company based in Abu Dhabi and the U.S. He has broad international experience in a variety of businesses. He has done extensive work in Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Japan, China, and the Middle East. In 2011, he was selected by the National Law Journal as one of the 34 most influential lawyers in the United States. He was awarded the Department of the Army Public Service Award in 2007.
Mr. Edelman is General Counsel of G42, an artificial intelligence company based in Abu Dhabi and the U.S. He has broad international experience in a variety of businesses. He has done extensive work in Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Japan, China, and the Middle East. In 2011, he was selected by the National Law Journal as one of the 34 most influential lawyers in the United States. He was awarded the Department of the Army Public Service Award in 2007.
Mr. Edelman is currently a director of Aldar Properties REIT and MGX, an investment fund based in Abu Dhabi. He is a senior advisor to Mubadala; the strategic investment arm of the government of Abu Dhabi. He is a member of the Board and Executive Committee of CFG, the owner of Manchester City Football Club and 11 other football clubs in 11 other countries, including New York City Football Club.
He is one of the founders of and continues to serve on the boards of The Jackie Robinson Foundation and Intrepid Museum in New York as Vice-Chairman. He continues to serve on the Boards of the Fallen Heroes Fund, Fisher House Foundation, and The Fisher Alzheimer Foundation.
Mr. Edelman is a graduate of Princeton University (1963) and Columbia University School of Law (1966). He served in the US Army from 1966-1969.

Faheem Ahamed is a transformative leader who leverages technology and strategic communications to drive global impact, bringing over 28 years of expertise in commercial branding, geopolitical advisory, and social innovation.
As Group Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at G42, Faheem crafts and implements impactful brand and communications strategies, overseeing stakeholder engagement across all communication disciplines. He plays a critical role advising G42’s operating companies, guiding strategic partnerships, and serving on the Group IP and Risk Committees.
Faheem's career showcases entrepreneurial success, including founding two marketing communications agencies and leading strategic transformations for global brands like Samsung, Cadbury’s, Tourism Malaysia, Sage, BAT, Visa, Dubai Shopping Festival, and Malaysia Airlines. His strategic insight has driven profitability, brand excellence, and quantum growth across diverse industries and regions, including AustralAsia, the Middle East, the US, UK, and Europe.
In his advocacy role at Lapis, part of the Moby Group, Faheem addressed global challenges such as polio eradication for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and irregular migration through innovative media solutions, notably producing the influential film "Journey." He also played a pivotal role in launching VICE Arabia, driving culturally relevant content and social impact initiatives in the Middle East.
At G42, Faheem has led groundbreaking projects such as the globally recognized 4Humanity clinical trials and the BEE Wild initiative aimed at saving pollinators, where he served as Executive Producer of the accompanying documentary featuring Angelina Jolie and Emma Goulding. Additionally, he spearheads G42's strategic partnership with Team Mercedes F1, exploring AI's transformative impact on sports safety, talent scouting, and fan engagement.
Faheem actively shapes G42’s global influence through prominent international forums including UNGA, World Government Summit, and the World Economic Forum, significantly contributing to discussions on Responsible AI, sustainability, and innovation at events like COP28 and EXPO2020.
Outside corporate responsibilities, Faheem serves as Vice Chair of The Marketing Society Abu Dhabi, advises prestigious institutions such as America Media Abroad, Wilton Park, and IBBC, and regularly contributes to global dialogues through international panels, podcasts, and publications. His ongoing mission remains leveraging AI and strategic communications to address global challenges, foster sustainable growth, and elevate societies.

Dr. Elizabeth F. Churchill is an applied cognitive scientist, long-time technology design leader, and Founding Lead of Human-Computer Interaction at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. She is dedicated to making technology ethical, intuitive, and genuinely responsible.

Backed by senior leadership roles at Google, eBay, Yahoo!, and Xerox PARC, her work has earned wide recognition, including election as an ACM Fellow, induction into the ACM SIGCHI Academy, both the ACM SIGCHI Lifetime Practice and Lifetime Service Awards, the CITRIS Athena Award for Executive Leadership, and honorary doctorates from Stockholm and Sussex Universities.
A former Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), she blends deep research with real-world practice to ensure emerging technologies remain transparent, accessible, and grounded in human needs.

Natasha Crampton serves as Microsoft's Vice President and Chief Responsible AI Officer, a pioneering role she has held since 2019 as the company's first executive dedicated exclusively to responsible AI.

In this capacity, she leads the Office of Responsible AI, an organization that collaborates directly with Microsoft's engineering, research, and commercial teams to translate the company's AI principles into operational practice across the enterprise.
The Office of Responsible AI also plays an instrumental external role by contributing to the development of new laws, international standards, and governance norms designed to maximize AI’s societal benefits while mitigating its risks.
