The Responsible AI Future Foundation is an impact organisation that helps nations build sovereign AI capabilities – adapting advanced models to improve citizens’ lives and reflect their unique needs, languages, laws, cultures and institutions.

Most nations will never build their own foundational models – nor should they need to. We work with governments, NGOs and local enterprises to align global technologies with national priorities and public good.

We advocate for AI that is globally informed but locally grounded; technology that builds trust, strengthens capability, and serves people in their real-world contexts.

The Responsible AI Future Foundation was established by Microsoft and G42, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing AI responsibly at this defining moment in technology.

The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) serves as a founding academic partner, contributing research and thought leadership to the Foundation’s mission.
